Sixty years ago, super villains known as the Camaraderie of Evil won against the heroes. They hid their true intentions, claiming that anyone with powers had a hallucinogenic plague known as theophrenia. The public believed their lies, and the Camaraderie uprooted modern society. In its place, they founded the utopian Community. Those with powers–those with theophrenia–were sent away, never to be seen again.

At least… not by those in the Community.

The year is now 2076.

The Community thrives. They believe world peace has been established, but in reality, the Camaraderie still fights the Oriental Alliance, who didn’t fall sway to their claims of theophrenia. But even more annoying, perhaps, is the small rebel factions who act as a thorn in their side, threatening to undo everything they’ve accomplished. Despite their name, the Camaraderie of Evil doesn’t consider themselves evil.

Everything they do is for the betterment of society.

 

The Community is safe. The Community is secure. The Community is efficient.

It is our duty.

 

 

Factions

 

Community

The Community is safe, secure, and efficient. Every citizen is required to take a mandatory daily pill to test for theophrenia, a plague that nearly wiped out civilization 60 years ago. During citizens’ first year of college, they take the Health Scan. If they pass, they’re free to go on with their lives. If they fail, they’re sent away for treatment. But really… how often does anyone fail?

 

Camaraderie of Evil (COE)

The Camaraderie of Evil is a historical organization that maintains order and peace in  Europe, North America, South America, and the majority of Africa. They are led by four council members who each have powers, and whose powers are stronger than most. Some speculate their enhanced powers comes from the pendants they wear, which goes back to the time of their founding fathers, the ones who originally gave them their eccentric name. The COE is in charge of the Community, though they keep powers secret from everyday citizens in order to maintain security.

 

Coalition of Freedom (COF)

The Coalition of Freedom is a small rebel faction seeking to bring freedom to those trapped within the Community. While they were once a thriving faction, started in the days before the Community’s existence, their numbers have been reduced to a select few who live on a dilapidated airship. But, despite their losses, their resolve remains strong.

 

Oriental Alliance

The Oriental Alliance maintains itself as a force to be reckoned with, refusing to bow to the whims of the Camaraderie. Most territories and countries that aren’t controlled by the Camaraderie are controlled by the OA’s massive alliance throughout Asia. They foster the use of powers and technology to advance their agenda, and they are proud to produce the most advanced mechs and AIs.
